Within the first 120 seconds of last night's shop update three Ceramics Club Memberships went. Within 18 minutes everything was gone! From the bottom of my heart, thank you. To be able to support myself through making pottery at this age and stage of my life is a dream which is starting to look like it may not be an impossible one. This means the absolute world to me.
I'm so flipping happy to confirm that around a dozen bud vases plus a few miniatures will be available to buy here on Wednesday 31st August at 7pm (UK time). I'll also be opening up a further 5 Ceramics Club Membership spaces at the same time. It's taken quite a bit of fine tuning to get my glaze and kiln doing what I need them to, to produce the right results. So this is a small batch. From this point on I'm expecting each shop update to be at least twice as big. I can't wait to start sending out work again!
I made a rather spontaneous decision this summer to set myself up with a studio in our house, rather than to wait the many months it would take to convert our garage. I'm so happy in my new workspace - here's a little peek! The one and only downside of this is that I've needed to concentrate on setting myself up here which has delayed the release of a new batch of work. You have been so patient with me and the many warm wishes I've received have meant a great deal to me. I'm delighted to say that having today unloaded my first test biscuit-firing from my shiny new kiln, a small shop update is edging ever closer. And now...
The small batch of my work which was launched yesterday in collaboration with The Future Kept sold out in 15 minutes. I don't have many words this morning other than thank you! To have had my work once again so warmly received is a profound privilege. To have collaborated with The Future Kept was a joy and it definitely won't be the last time we work together. As of this evening, membership of my Ceramics Club has now sold out and I've had the pleasure of sending each of my inaugural Members their welcome email. I'm feeling so privileged in the faith that has been placed in me and my work. I've never had a club before! A global one at that - in addition to the wonderful UK folk who have come on board, two lovely people from the US have joined too. I've kept the Membership very small for now but I will make more spaces available in the coming months. For now though I'm looking forward to starting work on the first Membership pieces which I'll be sending out in July.
